Under hypnosis, lying on the doctor's couch, Laure experiences loves which belong to her own past but also to the romantic experiences of characters she would have embodied in previous lives: a sailor on the go during the Second World War, a bourgeois from Chicago during the prohibition era, grisette in Belleville, circus magician. Driven mad with desire by these immodest stories, the psychiatrist, using a Machiavellian stratagem, will never stop possessing his beautiful client. But, will the latter still be cured?
